This Privacy Policy explains what information the MesoSky app (“MesoSky,” “we,” “us”) and the mesosky.com website collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. MesoSky is a weather application that shows live radar, forecasts, and related conditions. You do not need to create an account to use MesoSky.
With your permission, MesoSky uses your device’s location to center the radar map, select the NEXRAD radar site nearest you, show local forecasts and conditions, and (if you enable notifications) deliver alerts relevant to where you are. To fetch weather information for your area, your approximate location or coordinates are sent to the weather data providers listed below and to our notification servers. You can turn location access off at any time in iOS Settings; some location-based features will then be unavailable.
If you enable push notifications or Live Activities, we generate a random, per-installation identifier and store your Apple Push Notification token, Live Activity token, most recent coordinates, and time zone on our servers so we can deliver weather notifications. These records are not linked to your name or Apple ID, and are removed if you disable notifications, sign out, or delete the app.
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how MesoSky is used (for example, which map layers are toggled on, or which radar site is selected) and to improve the app. Firebase may collect standard device and usage information in accordance with Google’s privacy practices. This data is used in aggregate to improve the product, not to identify you personally.
Your email address is PURELY optional. MesoSky never requires an email address, and we only collect one if you choose to enter it — and it is used only to reply to you if you ask for a response after submitting a bug report or feature request. Leave it blank and your feedback is still delivered exactly the same; we just won't be able to write back. It is never used for marketing and never shared.
Separately, if you sign up on our website to be notified about updates, we use that address only to send you the news you asked for.
MesoSky Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes your payment; we never receive your payment card or billing details. To keep your subscription status in sync, the app associates each purchase with the random per-installation identifier described above, and Apple sends us subscription status events (start, renewal, expiration, refund) so paid features turn on and off correctly.
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only as needed to run the service:
Notification and device records are retained while the app is installed and notifications are enabled, and are removed when you disable them or delete the app. Feedback and email signups are retained until they are no longer needed or you ask us to delete them. You can request deletion of information associated with you by contacting us.
MesoSky is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
MesoSky is operated from the United States, and information is processed there. By using the app you understand your information may be processed in the United States.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may also be noted in the app or on this page.
